Physical Education
Teacher: Mrs. S. Carswell
Dear St. Joseph the Worker Parents, Guardians, and Students,
My name is Sinden Carswell. I am excited to be the Physical Education teacher at St. Joseph the Worker School for the 2016-2017 school year. I was welcomed into the St. Joseph school community in June of 2010. I am so fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful staff and school community! I am looking forward to implementing many new, challenging, and exciting physical activities for the students to enjoy.
We have scheduled most of our physical education classes in the gymnasium at Ecole Regent Park. Some of the activities that we will focus on this year will include soccer, floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, badminton, low organized games, track and field, gymnastics, dance, and plenty more. My classes will reflect activities that will engage all types of learners. I have planned warm-ups, lead up activities/games, and cooperative games that promote success for all students with different skill levels!
I will be providing updates in the newsletter as the year progresses to keep you all informed about key events and activities going on in the gym. I encourage open lines of communication between home and school. I am always willing to meet to discuss your child’s progress, development, needs, or any concerns that may arise.
Please feel free to call me at the school any time, or send an email to set up a conference. I look forward to the opportunity to work together with you to enhance your child’s learning!
